2025 Voting Guide: New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender county municipalities

SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — Ahead of the 2025 Municipal Elections across the tri-county region, Port City Daily has been publishing Q&As with candidates in some of the New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick county towns. Below you will learn where they stand on issues affecting the region. 

A few housekeeping notes to consider ahead of going to the polls: As of Monday, Nov. 3, registration to vote is closed. A valid ID or driver’s license is required to cast a ballot on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4.

All voters will be required to go to their precinct’s polling place, open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. To find out where you should be voting, click here. Voters can also access sample ballots here to learn which candidates is listed on them.

If an absentee ballot has been requested and not returned, it must be turned in by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day at the county board of elections office.

Port City Daily covers all of New Hanover County and parts of Brunswick and Pender counties. The candidate questionnaires are organized by the county and then town they represent.
