BOLIVIA — Connie Mills Sloop, 69, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018. Mrs. Sloop was born and raised in Kannapolis. She was the daughter of Rommie Mills and Rosalie Newsome Mills.
She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed painting, crafting and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Dale Sloop; two daughters, Shellena McCall, and her husband, Clyde, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Santresa Culpepper of Southport; six grandchildren, Johnathan McCall, Joshua McCall, Katherine McCall, Cody Holland, Dale Holland, and Dakota Culpepper; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sloop was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Mahathey.
The family will have visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 16, at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. A graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery, Concord.
