WILMINGTON — Deacon Joseph D. Carpenter, Jr., age 88, of Wilmington, NC passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025.
A public viewing took place Monday, October 20, 2025 at Davis Funeral Home – Wilmington, 901 South 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
A celebration of Deacon Carpenter’s life was held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at First Baptist Missionary Church, 520 N 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
Interment followed at Pine Forest Cemetery.
His love and memories will remain in the hearts of his children, Joseph K. Carpenter III of Wilmington, NC, Careem Carpenter of Miami, FL, Melba Carpenter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Tylar Carpenter (Mechelle) of Wilmington, NC, Renee Greene (Roger) of Little River, SC and James Carpenter (Sharon) of Wilmington, NC; sister, Edna Milton of Durham, NC, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
