WILMINGTON — As the election season ramps up, a housing forum is being held for candidates running for the North Carolina General Assembly in the tri-county region.

Hosted by the Cape Fear Housing Coalition and Cape Fear REALTORS®, the forum takes place on Monday, Sept. 28, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Plaza on Princess in the Harrelson Center, 410 Princess St.

All candidates running for legislative seats in Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties have been invited to participate. They will answer questions about homeownership, renting, homelessness, planning and land use, conservation, transportation, and insurance.

The forum is free and open to the public, giving voters a chance learn where candidates stand on a variety of housing issues. A portion of the evening will be dedicated to audience question-and-answers as well; the community can submit questions here by emailing [email protected].

At Port City Daily, we aim to keep locals informed on top-of-mind news facing the tri-county region. To support our work and help us reach more people in 2026, please, consider helping one of two ways: Subscribe here or make a one-time contribution here.
