BURGAW — Donald Edward McFee, 81, of Burgaw, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
He was born August 7, 1942, in Independence, IA, to the late Lawrence McFee and Ava Ritchie McFee.
Donald was a proud veteran and served two tours in Vietnam. In total, he had 32 years in the military. He served 17 years in the US Marine Corps and the remainder of active duty in the Army Reserves. In 1995 he started McFee Electric and worked until his death.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Justice McFee; 5 children, Brian (Sharon), Willie (Deanna), Daniel, Kathy (Jimmy) and Amanda; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and his buddy boy, Spunky.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, NC.
The family will receive visitors from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel.
