
WILMINGTON — The Wilson Center at Cape Fear Community College has announced “The Carpenters Songbook: A Live Celebration,” a tribute to the vocal duo Karen and Richard Carpenter on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, at 8 p.m.
The Carpenters gained renown for their distinctive soft and melodic pop style, charting as one of the top-selling American artists of the 1970s. “The Carpenters Songbook: A Live Celebration,” pays homage to the unforgettable music of Karen and Richard Carpenter, presenting their story and songs onstage in a beautifully crafted all-new production from the creative team behind “The Simon & Garfunkle Story.”
Tickets will be available online to Wilson Center Members on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale online and in person to the general public on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10 a.m.
