NCDOT launches real-time updates on WB Replacement project

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Wrightsville Beach residents and others looking for updates to the bridge replacement project from North Carolina Department of Transportation can subscribe to a new list.

Information with real-time updates will be sent to people who sign up for email and text messages here. Subscribers will receive newsletter updates that feature photos, videos and construction milestones.

NCDOT is replacing three bridges that provide direct access to and from Wrightsville Beach — two along West Salisbury Street over Lees Cut and Banks Channel and one on Causeway Drive (U.S. 76) over Banks Channel. The aging structures will be replaced an improve connectivity and include upgrades for pedestrians and cyclists.
