Sponsored: Oysterpalooza 2025: Oysters, music and mission come together in Surf City

SURF CITY — Oyster lovers, music fans, and eco-advocates across North Carolina should circle Nov. 1 on their calendars. That’s when Oysterpalooza 2025 returns to Soundside Park in Surf City, bringing with it a perfect blend of coastal flavors, live music, and community energy — all in service of a higher cause: supporting Ocean Fest and its growing grant and education programs.

A Community Celebration with a Purpose

Oysterpalooza is not just a festival, it’s a fundraiser with a mission. Hosted by Ocean Fest 501(c)(3), the event fuels a grant program that has already distributed more than $135,000 to eco-initiatives and is pushing toward a new milestone: $200,000 by the end of 2026. These grants support projects like beach clean-ups, youth eco-education, and sustainable community programs that protect our waterways and coastlines.

When you buy a ticket, order an extra oyster flight, or enter a raffle, you’re not just enjoying a day on the water, you’re investing in Mother Ocean’s future. Ocean Fest’s rallying cry, “To Surf & Protect,” underscores every detail of the event. From eco-friendly vendor policies to compostable serviceware, Oysterpalooza is designed to inspire stewardship while celebrating the coastal lifestyle.

Oysters Take Center Stage

It wouldn’t be Oysterpalooza without the stars of the show: oysters. This year’s event will feature five oyster purveyors, each bringing their own distinctive flavor and preparation. Every adult ticket includes a flight of 10 oysters—two from each purveyor.

And the demand is already clear. Since ticket sales opened, nearly one in four buyers (24%) have purchased additional oyster flights in advance. That trend points toward record-breaking oyster consumption and ensures purveyors will be shucking at full speed all evening. Beyond the included flights, additional oyster bundles will be available for purchase throughout the night, meaning attendees can keep the good times — and the oysters — rolling.

For kids 10 and under, discounted tickets are available at $15 each (oyster flight not included), making this a family-friendly event where everyone can join in the fun.

A Lineup Built for Good Vibes

The oysters might fill your stomach, but the music will fill your soul. Oysterpalooza 2025 will feature a lineup of high-energy, good-vibe bands, ready to turn Soundside Park into a celebration.

Headlining is BOMBARGO, the Canadian collective whose infectious positivity and groove-based sound has earned them fans around the globe. Known for their “good time guarantee,” they’re the perfect act to headline a fundraiser rooted in joy and community.

Supporting the headliner are two acts that bring a strong local connection. OC3ANS of Wilmington featuring Brooke Renshaw of American Idol will showcase regional talent with a national spotlight, while FUDGE of Wilmington brings their own signature style and loyal following. Together, this lineup blends international energy with homegrown artistry—perfectly reflecting the spirit of Surf City.

An Intimate, High-Impact Fundraiser

Unlike massive festivals where attendees can feel lost in the crowd, Oysterpalooza caps attendance at just 750 tickets. That means every guest is part of a focused, intimate community gathering. It also means tickets are limited—and going fast.

Each ticket sold is a direct donation to Ocean Fest’s cause. When paired with sponsorships, raffle entries, and donations, the impact grows exponentially. It’s an evening where every shell shucked and every note played helps fuel Ocean Fest’s eco-grant program.

Be Part of the Mission
