LELAND — Gerald James Stoll, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in Leland, North Carolina. Born on May 8, 1942, in Buffalo, New York, he was 82 years old at the time of his passing.
Gerald dedicated his professional life to the field of nuclear engineering at Corporate Level III, None Destructive Examination. He was known for his expertise and dedication. Outside of his career, he found joy and relaxation in the game of golf, his favorite pastime. He also enjoyed bowling, which provided him with many cherished memories and friendships over the years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Genevieve McCall and Louie Stoll. Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Royett Stoll, who stood by his side throughout their many years together. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: Robert Stoll, Jim Stoll, Lori Stoll, Vickie Metts, and Tina Mathis. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Hailey Scott, Shelby Mathis, Eric Metts, Jackson Stoll, and Cassie Stoll, as well as his great-grandchild, Callen Metts.
Gerald’s family and friends will remember him for his warmth, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him.
Although no services are scheduled at this time, his family invites those who knew him to reflect on the fond memories and lasting impact he had on their lives.
