WILMINGTON — Isaac “Ike” Lee Blaylock, Sr., 87, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024.
He was born July 19, 1937, in Lexington, NC, to the late Roy Lee Blaylock and Edith Going Blaylock.
Ike served in the US Army and afterwards had a career in law enforcement. He worked for the Burlington, NC Police Department, NC Probation and Parole and the US Marshals Office. He was a member of First Baptist Church for 50 years and served as a Deacon. Ike loved boating and in 1974, he moved to Wilmington from Raleigh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Blaylock.
Survivors include his son, Skip Blaylock and wife Patricia of Chocowinity, NC; son, Michael Blaylock and Sandra of Wilmington, NC; son, David Ray and wife Lisa of Wilmington, NC; son, John Ray of Wilmington, NC; sister, Sara Woody of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Doris Hand of Wilmington; one niece; Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
