HAMPSTEAD — It is with great sadness that the family of Megan Elizabeth Dolan announce her passing on August 11, 2024.
Megan was born on August 18, 2002. She was originally from Hiram Township, Ohio and resided in Hampstead, North Carolina.
Megan was a 2024 graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Megan graduated from Topsail High School in 2021 with honors and her Associate of Science degree from Cape Fear Community College.
Megan loved the outdoors and loved to hike in the mountains. She loved to scuba dive, surf, and paddle board when she was near the beach. Megan cherished her dogs and cats and loved to hike with them. She was an outstanding soccer player and played through her high school years.
Megan is survived by her loving parents, Daniel and Colleen Dolan and her brother Matthew, all of Hampstead, North Carolina. Grandmothers, Patricia Dolan and Barbara Moore both of Ohio. Megan has many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
