WILMINGTON — A food sale that fundraises for the Temple of Israel is underway. The 5th annual Big Nosh is accepting orders until Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Some items off this year’s menu include corned beef and pastrami, sour pickles, babka, rugelach, seeded rye bread, herring, and whitefish salad. Prices for individual items range from $5 to $16 and a bundle is available.

The food will be available for pickup on Sunday, Dec. 13, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Reibman Center located at 922 Market Street.

Anyone who spends $150 on food items will also have a chance to win two tickets to the Wilmington Symphony or the Temple of Israel Music Series. The drawing for this will take place on Dec. 14.

Orders are accepted online or by mail being sent to the Temple of Israel. Proceeds benefit the temple, which is the oldest Jewish place of worship in North Carolina, having been in operation since the mid-19th century.
