WILMINGTON — Sharon McKeon Foster, age 64 of Wilmington, passed away at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare of Wilmington on the 26th of May 2024.
Sharon was born in Babylon, NY to Donald and Alba McKeon on July 21, 1959.
She spent many years in the restaurant business, owning one in Roanoke, VA for a time. Later in life she moved into home renovation and resale. She loved music and her dogs.
She is survived by her brother Mike McKeon and his children Shannon, Fallon, and Colin; her sister Maureen and her husband Ken Crockett and their children Nicholas, Clarissa, and Mia; and brother-in-law Rick Michek, along with his children Alyssa and Jessica, as well as many other extended family members and friends who loved and will miss her.
Sharon is preceded in death by her sister Cathy McKeon.
Sharon’s family will be receiving visitors at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation – Wilmington Chapel on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, her family has asked that friends and family please consider a memorial contribution to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Sharon’s memory, as they are incredibly grateful for the care and compassion they showed Sharon, as they do with all their patients and their families, with end-of-life care.
