BRUNSWICK COUNTY — The North CarolinaDepartment of Transportation will close the right eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 74/76 over Hood Creek beginning 8 a.m. Sept. 24 due to bridge maintenance for extending the structure.
The bridge is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. on Oct. 16, but is dependent upon future weather conditions or rescheduling.
The NCDOT recommends that vehicles slow down and use caution when traveling through the work zone during this time.
