WILMINGTON — Tim Cook, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He was 59 years old.
He was born in Hibbing, MN, was raised in Phoenix, AZ, and eventually settled in Wilmington, NC.
Tim earned his Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ. He loved to snow ski and was also an avid golfer. He was a member of the Pine Valley Country Club in Wilmington for many years.
During his working career in insurance, which spanned over 30 years, he especially enjoyed helping others. He became a dental insurance specialist assisting both agents and brokers throughout the country. He became one of only four Dental Regional Managers for United Health Care and held that position for many years.
He is survived by his son Dillon Cook, his parents, Sharon and Bill Keeton, his sister Tracy Barrett (Barry), and brother Ryan Keeton (Lauren) along with a niece, Violet Keeton and nephews, Tyler Lancy, Chase Barrett, and Kellan Keeton, as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family service will be held to celebrate Tim’s life.
