ONSLOW COUNTY — The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles is in need of a license plate agency to operate on the military base in Jacksonville. Thus, applications are opening for the opportunity.

LPAs manage registration services and title transactions, vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations, with roughly 130 in North Carolina managed privately or by local governments.

The new location will be on base at Hadnot Point Plaza, 84 Holcomb Blvd., PMB12. It wills share a state-operated driver license office, both of which are scheduled to open in spring 2027.

Applications must be completed online via the NCDMV Business Portal by Nov. 3 at the latest. Interested applicants will be required to create a portal log in ID and may call 919-615-8521 with questions. No mail-in or emailed applications will be accepted.
