Gene Kelly, 69, of Shallotte, died Friday, June 3, 2016, at Autumn Care. Mr. Kelly was born on September 25, 1946, in South Bend, Ind., a son of Gertrude Van Lue Singleton and the late Carlos Patrick Kelly.
He retired from Brunswick County Public Works.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Skeeter Kelly and sister, Patty Jo Baker.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Sellers Kelly; two sons, Mike Kelly of Ocean Isle Beach and David Kelly (Monica) of Myrtle Beach; four daughters, Cindy Alexander (Tony) of Wilmington, Lisa Kelly (Judy) of Myrtle Beach, Laura Daniel (Dennis) of Gainesville, Ga., and Amy Grenell (Travis) of Alpharetta, Ga.; two sisters, Luan LeBere of Chicago, Ill., and Debbie Singleton; and 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
