SHALLOTTE – To improve safety along N.C. 179 and Bricklanding Road, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will be conducting work on a Brunswick County intersection next week.

On Sept. 21, contract crews will install stop signs, flashers and pavement markings, with work being weather-dependent. The updates will make the intersection an all-way stop — a cost-effective measure designed to reduce the risk of crashes.

Drivers should exercise caution while crews conduct work. Updates can be found here.
