SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — Three Asian small-clawed otter pups were born last week to mom and dad Leia and Quincy. The N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher had a gender reveal party Saturday.

Two boys and one girl join sisters Stella, Mae and Selene, all three born last May to the otter brood.

New siblings and their mom and dad are “tucked away with parents,” according to staff, “in veterinary-recommended peace and quiet.”

The pups won’t be on view for the public for at least 17 weeks. They have to pass multiple milestones first; however, the aquarium will be updating the public on their progress weekly on Thursdays.
