WILMINGTON — Cape Fear Public Utility Authority announced a lane closure near downtown Wilmington.
An emergency water main repair is being made, in effect causing a northbound lane in the 1200 and 1300 blocks of South 3rd to be closed. Turns from 3rd onto Kidder won’t be allowed, except for local traffic which will access the 300 block of Kidder from S. 4th Street.
The utility authority estimates an eight-hour closure while crews repair the leak.
