WILMINGTON — Want to get a closeup look at how the City of Wilmington operates? Demo Day welcomes the public at the end of the month to see the vehicles, tools, technology and get to meet the teams that oversee the city’s functioning.

Themed “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” the public will learn about stormwater management and traffic engineering to urban forestry, fleet maintenance, solid waste services, and landscaping. There will be equipment demonstrations including large vehicles and heavy equipment, interactive exhibits and educational displays, local food trucks and more.

Plus, the community can learn about career pathways in city government.

It is free and open to the public on May 21, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Skyline Center, with free parking available in the south lot of Skyline Center.
