SOUTHEASTERN N.C. — Early voting officially opened Thursday at some locations in the tri-county region and will continue through Nov. 1.

CATCH UP: Candidate profiles continue to be published here.

Anyone can register and vote in one stop during early voting days. Just stop at any of the early voting locations across one’s county to take advantage of the opportunity. However, registration will not be open on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4 — and folks who are registered will be required to go to their precinct to cast a ballot.

Also, voters who receive an absentee ballot can turn it in at any early-voting location and hand it to an election official — or it can be dropped off at their county board of elections office.
