Monday, July 6
The Oak Island Town Council will host a special meeting at 2 p.m. in Council Chambers to discuss a closed session item. Meetings can be watched here.
The Brunswick County Board of Commissioners will host a regular meeting at 3 p.m. in the Brunswick County Government Center. Meetings can be streamed here and the agenda includes:
- Request for approval of Guaranteed Maximum Price proposal for construction services from Edifice for the HHS/EOC building in the amount of $62 million and authorize chairman to sign upon the successful sale of Limited Obligation Bonds
- Approve contract with Raftelis to conduct a Stormwater Utility Feasibility Study
- Resolution adopting the updated Water Shortage Response Plan
Tuesday, July 7
The Bald Head Island Village Council will host a special meeting at 1 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex. The agenda includes a closed session to discuss land acquisition and the appointment of a BHI resident to the Transportation Authority Board of Trustees.
The Oak Island Town Council will host a special meeting at 2 p.m. in Council Chambers to discuss potential land acquisition in a closed session and consider a contract for a new fire truck. Meetings can be watched here.
The Pender County Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Hampstead Annex, 15060 US Highway 17. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Public hearing on rezoning for a 32-acre wastewater facility in Topsail Township
The Surf City Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Surf City Municipal Complex, 214 W. Florence Way. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

- Approval of the Resiliency Project
Wilmington Historic Preservation Commission is holding a special meeting on Tuesday, July 7, at 1 p.m. in the Azalea Room in City Hall, Skyline Center, 929 N. Front Street. Discussion will revolve around the programmatic agreement for the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge replacement project and discussion of impacts on historic resources; see more here. Wilmington Housing Authority Board of Commissioners meet at 4 p.m. at Rankin Terrace, 415 N. 12th St. An agenda was not published by press.
New Hanover County Schools Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. at NHC Education Center, 5 p.m. The agenda includes school nutrition meal prices, facility use fee schedules, and more. Meetings can be viewed here.
Brunswick County Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. in the Cape Fear Room of The COAST (Center of Applied Sciences and Technology), 1109 Old Ocean Hwy, Bolivia. Meetings can be streamed here and the agenda includes board/committee reports, Coastal Horizons MOA and more.
Wednesday, July 8
The Topsail Board of Commissioners will meet at p.m. in the Topsail Beach Town Hall, 820 S. Anderson Blvd. Meetings can be livestreamed here. The agenda includes a vote on nature preserve MOU.
Wilmington’s Planning Commission will meet at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers, Skyline Center, 929 North Front St. The agenda includes a conditional rezoning of 1 acre from office and institutional to community business and modifying two addresses on 42nd Street as existing RB(CD), Regional Business (Conditional District) to include additional uses. Thursday, July 9
The Carolina Beach Planning Board will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. The agenda includes a proposed text amendment to add dog grooming to the home occupation ordinance and a rezoning request for several addresses along Cape Fear Boulevard and a parcel on S. 3rd Street from mixed use to a new zoning district called commercial transition.
The North Topsail Planning Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall, 2008 Loggerhead Court. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

The Burgaw Tourism Development Board will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the Visitor Center, 106 E Wilmington St. An agenda was not posted by press.
