Renovations are in effect for a new curb front to be installed 250 feet away from the original, which was constructed in 1989. The improved infrastructure will be triple the length and have four drop-off lanes. It also will expand accessibility for people with disabilities.
There will be a commercial drop-off area for taxis and ride-share, and canopies will be installed between the terminal and crosswalks to the parking area.
Currently, large digital signs are installed to direct motorists to the new drop-off and pickup areas. As well, vehicles can wait in a cell phone lot ahead of picking up a passenger at the new temporary curb front.
In the fall, construction will begin on parking in surface lots, with the addition of a parking garage and a separate covered area for rental car pick-ups and returns.
