Wilmington man charged in alleged robbery of Family Dollar

LELAND — A New Hanover County man was charged in the robbery of a Family Dollar that took place Sunday.

Brunswick County detectives have arrested Alexander Diano Neil, 25, of Wilmington. He has been charged wiith robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Neil is suspected of holding up the discount chain store on Lanvale Road in Leland on Sunday, Jan. 22, 1 p.m. He has been processed in the New Hanover County Detention Center, as he also faces unrelated offenses in New Hanover.

“Detectives wish to thank all those who submitted tips and information related to the incident,” a release from Brunswick County Sheriffs Office said.
