Update: Sheriff’s Office locates missing New Hanover High School student

Update: 6:oo a.m. — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office reports that Alexandria Zaire Adams was located safe and returned to her home.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing New Hanover High School student.

Alexandria Zaire Adams, 16, was last seen the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 17 on the 2700 block of Castle Hayne Road.

Adams is a light-skin black woman with brown eyes and curly dark brown hair. She is approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 140 pounds. Adams was last seen wearing a light blue hoodie with “Trap Queen” in silver lettering, light blue leggings, grey UGG boots, a pink book bag and a NHHS visor.
