BRUNSWICK COUNTY — Two entrances into a popular shopping center on Southport Supply Road will be closed for roughly a month due to N.C. Department of Transportation crews preparing for an upcoming traffic shift.

Construction of N.C. 211 road widening project will affect two entrances from N.C. 211 into Midway Commons Shopping Center starting on Monday, June 22. The Lowes Food Boulevard entrance and the adjacent Lowes Food gas station entrance from N.C. 211 will close but reopen once the traffic shift is in place in mid-July.

Drivers will be directed to utilize entrances on Midway Road to access the shopping center and are asked to slow down and use caution when traveling near the work zones.
