Part of Blue Clay Road to close June 27 for road repair

WILMINGTON — A portion of Blue Clay Road will be temporarily closed to traffic in both directions on Saturday, June 27, while crews repair the road following a water line installation in the area.

Starting at 7 a.m. on June 27, crews will fully close the roadway in the 3900 block of Blue Clay Road, just south of Juvenile Center Road. During construction, southbound traffic on Blue Clay Road will be detoured via North College Road to Bavarian Lane to North Kerr Avenue. Northbound traffic on Blue Clay Road will be detoured via North Kerr Avenue to Bavarian Lane to North College Road.

Signage will be in place throughout the area to direct drivers to the detour and alert them to the closure. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 12 hours.
