WILMINGTON – The Trask Land Company has finally announced its anchor grocery store for the Renaissance Market development, which is to be located across from Mayfaire Town Center.
Specialty grocery store Earth Fare will serve as the anchor of the development, along with a 14,250-square-foot West Marine, and a 3,000-square-foot Blaze Pizza.
According to a press release, “Earth Fare, an Asheville, N.C. based organic grocery store, has 45 locations across 10 states. Beginning with its first Asheville store in 1975, Earth Fare was an early adopter of “clean” organic and natural foods and committed to the highest of food quality standards in the industry.”
Construction is expected to begin in February 2018 with an anticipated Grand Opening in the fourth quarter of 2018, according to Trask.
The West Marine is relocating from its current location at Lumina Commons.
Blaze Pizza has more than 200 stores in 32 states, was recently named the number one Brand of the Year in 2017 Fast Casual Top 100.
“We are thrilled to bring a unique set of tenants to a thoughtfully designed center. Over the years we’ve been patient about master planning the Renaissance corridor to create a mix of uses including office, hospitality, and residential. We intentionally saved the heart of the watermelon for a specialty retail center like Renaissance Market and excited about creating a shopping environment that fits the coastal nature of Wilmington”, Raiford Trask III, of Trask Land Company said.
In July, the City of Wilmington’s City Council approved a rezoning request to allow Trask to move forward with the development.
