
WILMINGTON — Legendary singer-songwriter James Taylor will bring his 2026 summer tour to Wilmington this year, with a concert scheduled for Sept. 15 at Live Oak Bank Pavilion.
The Wilmington stop is part of Taylor’s newly announced tour with his All-Star Band, which includes 29 shows across the U.S. and several dates in the Carolinas. In addition to Wilmington, Taylor will perform in Columbia, South Carolina on Sept. 11; Charlotte on Sept. 13; and Charleston on Sept. 20.

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16.
Taylor, whose career spans more than five decades, is known for classics like “Fire and Rain,” “Carolina in My Mind,” and “You’ve Got a Friend.” He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, won multiple Grammy Awards, and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The 77-year-old artist has also received some of the nation’s highest honors, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Kennedy Center Honors, and remains one of the most successful touring artists of his generation. Taylor was born in Massachusetts but grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and has often cited the state as an important influence on his music.
