Sewer main repairs to shut down portion of Ogden road for two weeks

WILMINGTON — A portion of Wendover Lane in Ogden is scheduled to close for two weeks beginning Tuesday, Jan. 27. The closure is necessary for crews to complete repairs to a Cape Fear Public Utility Authority sewer main.

Starting at 7 a.m. on Jan. 27, Wendover Lane will be closed to traffic in both directions between Darden Road and Feather Stone Court. Drivers traveling through the area are asked to detour around the closure by using Bright Leaf Road.

The closure is expected to remain in place through Tuesday, Feb. 10.

According to the project notice, the work involves essential repairs to the local sewer infrastructure. While the road will be closed to through traffic, residents in the immediate vicinity should plan for detours during the two-week repair window.
