Summer concerts at Airlie Gardens return this June

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The 2023 simmer lineup of music to be performed at historic Airlie Gardens near Wrightsville Beach is secure.

This year’s roster includes a mix of sounds, from reggae to rock, blues to soul, dance to country.

The full schedule includes:

June 2: TripleWide featuring local artist Brett Johnson (rock/jazz/blues/funk)
June 16: ReSOUL (dance/party, ’70s through today)
July 7: Motel Soap (’70s -’80s pop/rock)
July 21: Jim Quick & the Coastline (soul/blues/R&B/Americana)
Aug. 11: Bibis Ellison (pop/covers)
Aug. 18: Brown Dirt Cowboys (rock/Americana, originals and covers)
Sept. 1: Signal Fire (reggae)

Concerts are held the first and third Friday of the month. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, as are picnics.

Tickets are $10 per adult and $3 per child (4-12). Airlie Gardens upper level members receive first dibs on tickets, with the ability to reserve them on Monday, May 8, 9 a.m.

Family and individual members can reserve tickets the Monday two weeks before each show. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday the week of each concert.

Parking is offsite at The New Hanover County Public Library – Northeast Branch, 1241 Military Cutoff Trail, with free shuttle service offered to the gardens beginning at 5 p.m. Onsite parking is by permit only.

Concerts are 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m. More information is available here.
