Jo Bell Wilson, 74

Jo Bell Wilson (Wilmington Funeral & Cremation)

WILMINGTON — Jo Bell Wilson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 74. Born on October 30, 1950, in Johnson City, TN, she brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.

Jo lived a full and meaningful life that reflected her love for people and her devotion to family. She spent her career as a hairstylist in Wilmington, where she became much more than someone who provided a service. Jo’s chair was a place where friends were made, laughter was shared, and stories were told. Her kindness, her ability to listen, and her easy sense of humor created bonds that lasted far beyond the walls of the salon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Margaret Parsons, and her siblings, Joyce Parsons, Jeanette Parsons, Thomas Parsons, Oscar Parsons, and Donald Parsons.

Left to treasure her memory are her children, Ann Brennan, Donna Goyda, and Joseph Wilson; her sister, Delores Pajares; her grandchildren, Loren Hayward, Blaise Brennan, Ethan Brennan, Emma Brennan, and Samantha Wilson; and her great-granddaughters, Macie and Ellie Hayward. She is also survived by Cassandra and Frankie, whose devoted care grew into a lasting friendship that brought comfort and joy to Jo. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them will remain their guiding light.

The family will gather privately at a later date to celebrate her life and honor her memory. Those who wish to remember Jo in a special way are invited to make a donation in her name to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, whose mission of compassion and care reflects the spirit in which she lived.

Jo Bell Wilson will be remembered for her laughter, her love of conversation, and the way she made those around her feel valued and cared for. Her presence will be missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to share memories, photos, and condolences here.
