Rosemary was raised on a dairy farm in Bladen County and on the farm it was noted that Rosemary had a name for almost every cow. She has a wonderful collection of cow figurines. Rosemary was a graduate of Campbell College (now Campbell University) and went to work in Raleigh as a consumer protection specialist in the NC Attorney General’s Office where she worked for several years. Rosemary met and married a wonderful man, Dennis Pittman, and they have shared 49 God filled years.
Dennis and Rosemary moved to Wilmington in 1993 where they raised their children. They became dedicated active members of First Baptist Church in Wilmington. For many years Rosemary worked at the Employment Security Commission in Burgaw helping many people find jobs. She also dabbled in Real Estate. Rosemary loved trips to the mountains, spending time at their mountain retreat.
Rosemary was an extraordinary woman of God whose resounding faith and love for family and helping people was unmatched. Her brightly shining light often served as a guide to those around her. Those that knew Rosemary will always remember her passion for her family, caring for those she loved and helping all people have a better life. She was a true example of what it meant to be a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Her presence in our lives will be forever missed but we find solace in knowing she is at peace and rejoicing with her Almighty Father.
