SURF CITY — Donald Edward Perry, Sr., 87, of Surf City, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at home.
He was born on April 13, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Adolph and Mae (Wachaus) Perry.
Don, a US Army Veteran, was a member of The Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce both in Jacksonville, NC, VFW and the Moose Lodge in Hampstead, NC. He owned several businesses, including PIP Printing and golf cart sales and repairs. Don had a life-long passion for cars and the Cleveland Browns.
He is survived by his son, Donald Edward Perry, Jr. and wife, Margaret; his daughter, Heather Perry; his grandchildren, William Perry, Ava Perry and Brady Nguyen; and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his partner, Macrina Fox; and his brothers, Ralph Perry and Leroy Perry.
