WILMINGTON — Anna Elizabeth Price, born on April 16, 1984, in Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, in Hampstead, NC, at the age of 40, after a courageous three-year battle with breast cancer. Her life was a testament to strength, compassion, and the unyielding spirit of love.
Anna grew up in Wilmington, where she graduated from Laney High School. Her passion for animals and their well-being led her to establish her own business, “She Shed Grooming,” in Franklinville, NC. Through her work, she touched the lives of countless animals and their owners, turning her passion into a thriving enterprise that reflected her dedication and love.
A beloved member of the Hanover Seaside Club and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilmington, Anna was deeply involved in her community, cherishing the friendships and bonds she formed. Her love for the beach was well-known among her family and friends; it was her sanctuary and place of peace.
Anna’s constant companion, Buoy, her faithful service dog of nine years, was a testament to her deep love for animals. Together, they shared countless adventures and heartwarming moments that brought joy to all who knew her.
Anna is survived by her loving parents, William Loyd Price III of Hampstead, NC, and Lisa Morris Peeler (John) of Franklinville, NC. She also leaves behind her brother, W. Andrew Price of Wilmington, her sister, Casey Peeler Wiscott (Charles) of Kill Devil Hills, NC and her step-brother, John R. Peeler III (Donna) of Williamsburg, VA. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her vibrant spirit and unwavering courage.

A celebration of Anna’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor and remember her remarkable journey.
