Carole Ann Robinson, 86

Carole Ann Robinson (Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care)

WILMINGTON — On October 2nd , Carole (Silleck) Robinson, 86, achieved her greatest wish when she went to be with her Lord and Savior, and was reunited with her beloved husband of 48 years, Keith Robinson who passed away in 2011. Born and raised in Mamaroneck NY she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence Silleck and sister to Bill Silleck.

She leaves behind many family members and friends to celebrate her new life with Christ and rejoice in knowing she is with the Lord and free of all earthly pain.

Those left to cherish her memory and celebrate her new life with Christ are her daughter Karen Robinson, son Kent Robinson (Lynda), granddaughter Melissa Viteri (Kevin), grandson Shawn Robinson (Veronica), grandson Will Robertson (Tiffany), granddaughter Kelsey Snydstrup (Eddie), granddaughter Trinity Stone, and great grandsons Cam, Max, and Ben.

The center and focus of her life was devotion to God and Service to Him. She has 50+ years in various forms of Holy Spirit arranged and led ministry under a mandate to ‘Feed My Sheep and sometimes My Shepherds’ including church organization, book ministry, personal counsel, Christian Blogging (AGodListener.blogspot.com), and in her final years ministering through personal visits, calls and texts.

She was a graduate of Alfred College with a BA in Psychology/Sociology and went on to get her master’s in social work at University of Connecticut. She had a true love of sailing which is how she met the love of her life. She introduced Keith to sailing and together they spent time sailing the Long Island Sound and cruising the Bahamas. Among her favorite spots were Block Island and Martha’s Vineyard. Along with sailing, she enjoyed camping with her family. Every summer was spent exploring this country in their beloved Volkswagen Camper van imparting on her children a true love of family and nature. She and Keith retired to North Carolina where she became a Coastal Environmental Advocate and began one of her most treasured roles as that
of a grandma. Her grandchildren brought her constant joy, and she loved being a role model for them.

Carole’s love of the Lord brought many people into her life that became more like family than just friends. Whether you knew her for a month or a decade, know that she cherished your friendship, and you enriched her life in ways her family truly appreciated.

She was a faithful, intelligent, strong willed, generous beyond measure woman who will be deeply missed even as we rejoice in her final homecoming.
