WILMINGTON — ALWAYS LISTENING ALWAYS KIND
Debra “Debbie” Butler Davis was welcomed into the arms of her loved ones in heaven on Friday June 21, 2024.
She was born in Oklahoma on an Air Force base to her proud parents Virgil and Irene. She was raised in Virginia Beach. She attended college at Emery and Henry and later received her teaching certificate from Virginia Tech. She found her calling as a kindergarten teacher, where her sweet disposition molded many young minds for more than thirty years. Family brought her to North Carolina where she continued teaching until she retired.
She built her dream home and enjoyed the Florida sunshine and her family after retirement. She was always listening, always kind. Adored by her family and friends, her love for them was never ending. She was their rock and comfort. She will forever live in our hearts, and we will honor her memory each day by spreading love and kindness as she did.
Debbie is predeceased by her parents, Virgil and Irene, stepfather Ken, and brother Chris. She is survived by her brother Tim, sister-in-law, Val, her brother Shannon, sister Patty, daughter Brook, son in law Ray, grandchildren Madilynn and Keagan, daughter Laurel, son in law Enrique and grandchildren Corbin and Declan.
