Patricia ‘Pat’ Farrow Williams

WILMINGTON — Patricia “Pat” Farrow Williams, 78, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at her home with her family by her side.

Born July 6, 1942, in Wilmington, Pat was the daughter of the late William Julius Farrow and Louse Pridgen Farrow. She attended New Hanover High School, where she met the love of her life, Richard “Mac” Williams. They married and had two children, Richard “Matt” Williams III and Helen Williams Smith. Mac was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at age 38 and became very ill. Pat was a devoted wife and caregiver for him for the next 25 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, helping her children raise and nurture their children.

Pat is survived by her children, Richard “Matt” Williams III, and his wife, Toni, and Helen Williams Smith, and her husband, Larry. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Albert Kincaid, Kenneth Williams, Lauren Hill and Hannah Smith; four great-grandchildren; loving sister, Julia Farrow Cook; and many nieces and nephews she dearly loved and who will surely miss her.

Pat was not only a devoted mother to her family, but was know as “Nanna Pat” to many others.

Pat’s family would like to thank all those who have prayed for us during this difficult time. Please remember us as we learn to face each day without her.

A graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 14, at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington.
