WILMINGTON — Glenda Simpson Flynn, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019. She was born Jan. 7, 1948, in Washington, D.C., to the late Eldon Simpson and Sarah Wharam Simpson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mike Simpson, Charles Wharam and Lucy Simpson; and special mother, Margaret Flynn Vinson.
Survivors include her children, Katie Flynn (Jen), Bud Flynn (Jill) and Sean Flynn (Rachel); grandchildren, Daisy Flynn, Wyatt Flynn, Holden Flynn and Mae Flynn; siblings, Gail Cannon (Henry), Cindy Rexrode, Buster Simpson and Ronnie Simpson;and extended family, Debra Shulse, Paula Dayvault, Eddie Dean and Louise McColl.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to services. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
