SURF CITY — Debra Sue Hugg Cooks, 51, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at her home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1967, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Barbara Ann and Richard Norman Hugg.
She attended Iroquois High School in Erie, Pennsylvania and graduated from Topsail High School.
She worked for 23 years at Advanced Machine Group in Holly Ridge. She enjoyed traveling, attending concerts, NASCAR races and spending her time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending summer days in the pool with her grandsons.
Debra made an impact and influence on so many people, she will be sorely missed by her family, her friends, and people who had the pleasure of meeting her even in passing.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany; grandsons, Alex and Colton; sister, Linda; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death and reunited with her parents, Barbara Ann and Richard Norman Hugg; and sister, Patricia Ann Snyder.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, at Andrews Mortuary, Hampstead.
