WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority has lifted a precautionary boil-water advisory for part of North Lumina Avenue and surrounding areas in Wrightsville Beach.
Water service in the area is back to normal operation, according to the authority, which put the advisory into effect on Wednesday, March 25. It impacted around 200 customers from the 400 to 1000 blocks of N. Lumina Avenue, as well as parts of Augusta, Asheville, Fayetteville, Oxford, Henderson and Greensboro streets.
Crews had to replace broken valves in the water distribution system. CFPUA lab staff test the water for safety before lifting an advisory.
