
WILMINGTON — Warren H. Harris, 96, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center.
He was born July 23, 1921, in Paterson, N.J., the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Harris in 2006; as well as two brothers, Willard and Walter Harris.
Warren was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. His decorations include a victory ribbon and the meritorious service unit wreath. Mr. Harris retired as a detective with the Paterson Police Department.
Surviving are his daughter, Carol Cooper, and her husband, Alvin; granddaughter, Pamela Losurdo, and her husband, Scott; grandson, Scott Malatesta, and his wife, Helene; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Bonaventure Church, Paterson, N.J. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
