John Hansford Sweet, of Supply, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at Hospice House of Brunswick. He was 63.
He was born Oct. 8, 1951, in Winston-Salem, son of the late Henry Lester and Doris Staples Sweet. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Sweet and stepdaughters, Amy Floyd and Jennifer Floyd.
Surviving are his wife, Laurie Simard Sweet; sons, Jonathan Sweet (Kim), of Walkertown and Christopher Davis; daughter, Christine Davis (Phillip), of Mocksville; brothers, Bobby Sweet (Shirley), Bill Sweet (Delores), Ricky Sweet, Michael Sweet (Lynn), Fred Sweet and Harry Sweet (Darlene); sisters, DeAnna Cameron, Phyllis Hodgins (Terry) and Ruby Sweet; sister-in-law, Nancy Simard; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel.
