NEW HANOVER COUNTY — A land-clearing burn on the 200 block of Lendire Road is expected to continue sporadically for the next two weeks.
New Hanover County Fire Rescue is monitoring the burn, which is taking place near Fire Rescue Station 16.

The burn as been on and off for weeks, starting Jan. 26 for a week before pausing. It resumed into its second phase on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
The burn area is 30-acres; North Carolina Forest Service and New Hanover County Fire Rescue will be monitoring the it.
