County has surplus property to sell to nonprofits, public

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The county commissioners decided at its Monday agenda briefing to unload excess personal property that will be for sale to the public at an upcoming auction. First, nonprofits will have the opportunity to scoop up the items.

Items for sale include computers, trucks, lot of soap dispensers and toilet paper holders, rolling carts, desk chairs, stools and office equipment, including cubicle pieces. A complete list of the available surplus items is available.

Nonprofit organizations have until Tuesday, June 14, to purchase items before they will be available to the public on Monday, June 20. Any organizational leader who wishes to view or learn more about listed items can contact Julia LaBombard at 910-798-4333 or email JlaBombard@nhcgov.com

The public will bid via GOVDEALS (registration is required) through July 5. All items are being sold “as is” and bids must be made online. Questions about using the website should be directed to GOVDEALS at (800) 613-0156.

New Hanover County reserves the right to remove any items from this list at any time.
