Update: Both victims are in stable condition. WPD is following leads concerning possible suspects.
WILMINGTON –– The Wilmington Police Department announced two females were critically injured Friday evening after someone shot into a residence on Downey Branch Lane, a townhouse condo community located off Willshire Boulevard.
Both a woman and a female minor were struck. They were shot multiple times by the bullets, according to WPD. Both are in critical condition in the operating room, as of just after midnight Saturday.
“The investigation is ongoing and our prayers are with the victims,” WPD’s release states.
