Boil water advisory lifted for 9th and Market streets

WILMINGTON — A boil water advisory has been lifted for Cape Fear Public Utility Authority customers near Ninth and and Market streets.

The advisory was in place as crews corrected broken water valves, which disrupted service for roughly 200 customers located at:

  • 800 and 900 blocks of Market Street
  • 700 to 1000 blocks of Orange Street
  • 700 and 800 blocks of Dock Street
  • 600 to 800 blocks of Princess Street
  • 0 and 100 blocks of N. 6th Street
  • 0 block of N. 7th Street
  • 0 and 100 blocks of N. 8th Street
  • 0 to 200 blocks of S. 8th Street
  • 0 to 200 blocks of S. 9th Street
  • All of Magnolia Street
  • All of St. James Street

CFPUA lab staff tested the water to ensure it is safe to drink.
