Monday, Feb. 23
The Pender County Planning Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Commissioners Chambers at 805 S. Walker Street in Burgaw. The board will consider adopting the 2026 meeting and deadline dates calendar. The meeting will livestream here.
The New Hanover County Schools Curriculum Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are livestreamed here. An agenda was not posted by press.

The Carolina Beach Town Council will host a workshop starting at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers. The agenda includes:
- Presentation of the Facility Study Results by Creech and Associates

The Southport Board of Adjustment will host a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the Southport Community Building. The agenda includes:

- Administrative Appeal 410 E Bay Street
The Oak Island Planning Board will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. The agenda includes:
- Proposed Text Amendment to Section 10.19.6.1. of the Unified Development Ordinance on Urban Form Development Standards & Incentives – Zoning District Addition

The Belville Board of Commissioners will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. at the Highway Patrol Training Center. An agenda but not posted by press.
The Leland Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Leland Town Hall. The agenda includes consideration of an amendment to define “Data Center” in the town code and establish strict environmental and buffering rules to allow data centers to be built. Also, the board will consider updating town ordinances to clarify civil penalties and broaden the legal remedies available to the town for enforcing code violations. The meeting will livestream here.
The Brunswick County Board of Elections will meet at 4 p.m. at the Board of Elections office, 75 Stamp Act Drive, building H. The agenda includes consideration of absentee ballots.
The New Hanover County Board of Elections will hold its special meeting on Feb. 24, 5 p.m., in the Board Room at the Board of Elections Office, 226 Government Center Dr. The purpose of the meeting is to review absentee ballot applications and discuss other election-related matters as needed. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The meeting can be streamed here .
The Pender County Board of Elections will meet at 6 p.m. and discuss absentee ballots. It takes place at 807 S. Walker St. in Burgaw and is open to the public.
The Brunswick County Board of Elections will meet at 4 p.m. in the Board of Elections office, 75 Stamp Act Dr.in Bolivia to go over absentee ballots. The meeting can be streamed here.

Wednesday, Feb. 25

The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Board will meet at 3 p.m. in the WMPO Board Room at 525 N. Fourth St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

The New Hanover Airport Authority will meet at 5 p.m. in th ILM Executive Conference Room at the airport. The agenda includes:
- Recommend approval of Cherry Bekaert, LLP as auditors for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026
- Air show update
- Recommended approval of term sheet for 30-year land lease with Baker Cape Fear, LLC for a 7.73 acre parcel of land on the west side of the airfield at an annual rate of $0.38 per square foot for the purpose of erecting new aircraft hangars.
Thursday, Feb. 26
The next regular meeting of the Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority will take place on Feb. 26 at 12:30 p.m. at Forden Station, 505 Cando St. A public comment period limited to five minutes per person will be offered at the meeting. An agenda was not posted by press. Virtual attendance is not available and meetings.
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority’s Sustainability Committee takes place Feb. 26, 2 p.m., (see the agenda here) and the Long Range Planning Committee meets at 3 p.m. Its agenda includes a summary of the 10-Year Capital Improvement Project Draft for 2027 and an update on water mains to private wells containing PFAS. Meetings take place at 235 Government Center Dr. in the Jordan Room.
