WILMINGTON — Residents in city limits are welcome to get a sneak peek behind the scenes at the City of Wilmington’s Demo Day.

Taking place on Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event happens at 929 N. Front St., in the Skyline Center’s south lot as part of National Public Works Week. Centered on the theme, “People, Purpose, Presence,” Demo Day honors professionals in the Stormwater Management, Sustainability, Parks and Urban Forestry, Streets and Sidewalks, Traffic Engineering, Fleet Services, Building Maintenance, and Recycling and Trash Collection departments.

There will be hands-on demonstrations from public services teams and food trucks parked on site. A recruitment table will also be set up on-site for residents to learn about current job openings and benefits.
